HOW WE CREATE IMPACT

Supporting Women-Led Livelihoods in Kajiado

All MBOLEA compost is produced using livestock manure sourced exclusively from women in Kajiado County. This creates a consistent income stream for women while keeping value within local communities.

We also commit 6% of our profits directly back into community-based environmental and education projects.

Urban Community Gardening – Eastleigh

In Eastleigh, Nairobi, we worked with an urban community to design and set up a shared multistorey garden in a limited space environment.

The garden operates as a community-managed food system, supplying produce for households and generating income through sales — proving that food production is possible even in dense urban settings.

School Gardens & Learning in Bomet

Through our school programmes in Bomet County, we have supported three schools with:

  • Copies of Planting the Future learning books
  • Seeds and inputs for school gardens
  • Multistorey Gardens

One of these schools now runs a self-sustaining garden, producing food and selling surplus produce to support school activities.

WHY THIS WORK MATTERS

We don’t separate growing plants from growing people. Healthy soil, strong communities and practical knowledge all reinforce each other — and that’s where lasting impact comes from.
